An operator room for founders and builders — so the site is a machine you power on: CRT boot, a '98 desktop, four playable games, and an RSVP gate that opens with a typed code.
L-A-B — Leaders & Builders — is a curated events community trading leverage and blueprints, not business cards. The brief: make the invite feel like the room. The site boots like a computer: click to power on, BIOS and all, then a full desktop where every window drags, every sound is synthesized, and every sprite is hand-drawn.
Behind the play sits a working platform. Events are guarded by human-typable access codes that double as the router; RSVPs carry custom questions and calendar files; venues can be announced the day before, emailing only the people who haven't heard; scheduled reminders ship with a guard that would rather skip a late email than send a wrong one.
The team runs it from a deliberately plain admin — tap-to-check-in at the door from a phone, RSVP-versus-attended analytics, a regulars board, and a site-text editor that previews the real site, not a mock. One hand-written file out front, zero images shipped, all of it on shared hosting.
